Job Overview - Coach: Group Training and Personal Training

As a Coach, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional training experience, ensuring each client receives the guidance and real-time adjustments they need to improve strength, feel better, and remain injury-free. This role requires strong fitness knowledge, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to command a room while fostering a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead group and personal training sessions with enthusiasm and expertise.

  • Assess client exertion levels, pain, and body language to make real-time workout modifications.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and ensure the facility is organized and clean.

  • Open and close the facility, ensuring smooth daily operations.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and motivational skills to empower clients.

  • Support onboarding of new clients by effectively communicating the value of training programs.

Role Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in personal training, group training, or a related field.

  • Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field OR NASM/NSCA credentials.

  • Domain Knowledge: Deep knowledge of anatomy and physiology with the ability to adjust programming on the fly.

  • Client Interaction: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate clients.

  • Reliability & Independence: Able to work with minimal oversight in a trust-based environment.

  • Comfort with Technology: Must be comfortable with live streaming group sessions.

  • Organizational & Time Management Skills: Must be highly organized, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.

  • Commitment to Inclusivity: Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all clients, ensuring respect and inclusivity for individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in high-energy, non-corporate gym environments.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly.

  • Demonstrate exercises with proper form and clear verbal instruction.

  • Must be available for early morning (6 AM – 12 PM) and evening (4 PM – 8 PM) shifts, plus Saturday mornings.
